“Does Dr. Anderson do Invisalign?” That sounds like a question we hear nearly every week at Anderson Dental. We love that our patients are interested in improving their smiles and are asking great questions. Invisalign is a brand name that describes a clear aligner therapy. These aligners, which look like bleaching trays, are worn to slowly reposition teeth into a more esthetic smile.
Over the course of treatment, new aligners are given to the patient to fine tune the teeth and place them into the ideal positions.
And now back to the original question of “Does Dr. Anderson do Invisalign?” We actually do offer clear aligner therapy, but we use a different company called ClearCorrect. There are many examples of trademarks being used as generics, for example, Kleenex (tissue), Band-Aid (bandage), Scotch-Tape (Clear Tape), and Invisalign (Clear Aligners)
So why do we use ClearCorrect instead of Invisalign, if everyone seems to be asking for Invisalign by name? There’s a few reasons why Dr. Anderson elected to become a ClearCorrect provider over an Invisalign provider.
ClearCorrect is a more flexible treatment option in that it allows for much easier course correction during treatment. When Invisalign makes their aligners for a treatment, they produce every aligner at the start. The problem with this approach is that sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan and with that, sometimes teeth don’t exactly move how we anticipate at the beginning of treatment. ClearCorrect produced their aligners as the treatment progresses, which allows for mid-course corrections if necessary. What this means for the patient is better results and better control of your treatment.
Another reason why we chose ClearCorrect was that we are able to offer this wonderful treatment at a lower cost to our patients. We pride ourselves on offering great dentistry at affordable prices to help our patients in the Grants Pass area, and ClearCorrect allows us to lower the cost of treatment, saving you hundreds of dollars or more. According to Invisalign’s website, the cost of their treatment can range from $3,500 to $8000. Thanks to ClearCorrect, we can help our patients improve their smiles at nearly half that cost! The difference is that ClearCorrect is much less top heavy in management and with less money spent on administration, more savings are passed to you!
Now it should be said that not everyone is a candidate for clear aligner therapy, we’ll need you to come in for a consultation with Dr. Anderson to determine if you are a candidate or not. Give us a call so we can schedule your appointment and let’s get started on straightening that smile!
Happy New Year!
